A friend of mine recently commissioned this dress as a birthday gift for herself...
Made from a 1970's indonesian batik fabric, the beautiful green was just perfect for her, and was made into a flattering and easy to wear wrap around dress with frill trim.
At first I wasn't sure about the frill and fabric combo, thought maybe a frill would look too fussy for the earthy appeal of the print. But it ended up being a subtly feminine touch to an organic feel dress.
I also got the excitement of seeing someone wearing my creation when the birthday girl wore the dress to her (and her son's 1st) birthday party. That thrill never wears off!
